Client: Maro App

Project: Create an animated short about an LGBT light bulb character coming out to their parent. This is the first featured animation on Maro, an app that helps parents with child development.

The story starts off with baby Hue’s mother noticing something different about him when his light unexpectedly glows rainbow. Hue grows up and also starts to realize that he’s different from his peers. He desperately tries to fit in with the others by not glowing rainbow, but he cannot escape his unwanted colors. Then one day, Hue meets Rainbow Fil, who is vibrant and unapologetically themself. A montage of dates shows the two falling in love and feeling more confident to shine their rainbow lights. Hue decides to share his true multicolored hue with his mother and introduce her to Rainbow Fil.
